Vandyke Software have made the decision to cease active development of CRT and concentrate on enhancing SecureCRT. Many organizations are turning off Telnet. SecureCRT can help with this transition, because Telnet can be used until it has been replaced by SSH1 or SSH2. CRT 6.1 will be the final version.

  • Extensive session management features: A tabbed UI with ability to move tabs in and out of CRT windows and the Activator tray utility minimize desktop clutter. Session settings can be saved in named sessions.
  • Configuration: Extensive session and keyboard customization including a button bar which allows you to map buttons to configuration commands or actions, such as sending strings, running scripts, menu functions, and protocol commands. Different button bars can be created for specific sessions or operations.
  • Powerful printing: Printing support, including pass-through printing.
  • Scripting support and automation: Scripting language support for VBScript, JScript, and PerlScript. Easy logon automation. A script recorder automatically creates a VBScript based on keystrokes, including function keys.
  • Named firewalls: You can create any number of firewall configurations that can be used on a session-specific basis.
