How to Sell Your Car Fast on Car.net.pk

Pricing, photos that sell, a description that answers every question, paperwork, boosts and quick responses — the playbook for a 48-hour sale.

Some cars on Car.net.pk sell within 48 hours. Others sit for two months with the same three photos and a price nobody calls about. The difference is rarely the car itself — it is how the ad is prepared. Here is the playbook our managed-selling team uses to sell cars quickly at a fair price, condensed into steps you can follow this weekend.

1. Price it right from day one

Buyers on Car.net.pk sort by newest and by price, and they compare your car with every similar ad in your city. An ad priced 10% above the market is invisible; buyers scroll past it. Search your make, model, year and city, note the range of asking prices, and look at the fair price range shown on ads. Price your car within that range — slightly below the middle if you want speed, slightly above if the car is exceptional and you can wait. Leave a small margin for negotiation (buyers expect it), but not a large one; a wildly high price followed by a big discount looks suspicious.

2. Take photos that sell

Photos are the single biggest factor in whether someone calls. Follow this recipe:

  • Wash the car inside and out. A clean car photographs as a cared-for car.
  • Shoot in the early morning or an hour before sunset — soft light, no harsh reflections. Avoid midday sun and night shots.
  • Choose a plain background — an empty parking area or a quiet street, not your gate with three other cars in frame.
  • Take the standard set: front three-quarter (this becomes your cover photo), rear three-quarter, both sides, front, rear, dashboard with the ignition on (shows the mileage and no warning lights), front seats, rear seats, boot, engine bay, tyres, and the registration book cover with personal details hidden.
  • Be honest about damage. Photograph scratches and dents. Buyers who discover surprises at the viewing walk away; buyers who saw them in the ad still come.
  • Upload up to 20 photos in landscape orientation. Car.net.pk resizes and watermarks them automatically.

3. Write a description that answers the phone before it rings

Every call you receive asks the same questions. Answer them in the ad and you will get fewer time-wasters and more serious buyers. Include:

  • Variant and transmission (e.g. "Altis 1.6 automatic"), model year and registration year and city.
  • Genuine mileage, number of owners and whether the car is in your name.
  • Service history — where it was serviced, when the last service was and what was replaced (tyres, battery, brakes).
  • Condition honestly: "original paint except rear bumper repainted after a parking scratch" builds trust.
  • Extras: new tyres, alloy rims, Android panel, seat covers, tracker, insurance.
  • Price position: "slightly negotiable", "final price" or "exchange possible".
  • Best time to call and whether you prefer WhatsApp.

Write it in short paragraphs or bullet points, in English or Roman Urdu — whatever your buyers read. Avoid capital letters and rows of exclamation marks.

4. Get the paperwork ready before the first call

Have the registration book, latest token tax receipt, transfer forms and your CNIC copy in one folder. If the car is on an open letter, have the original owner's documents ready too. Serious buyers ask about papers in the first minute; a seller who says "I'll find them" loses the sale. Read our guide on transferring ownership so you can explain the process confidently.

5. Add an inspection badge

Ads marked Inspected receive noticeably more contacts because buyers trust a third-party report. Book a Car.net.pk inspection before you post — the score appears on your ad and the report can be shared with buyers, which shortens negotiation dramatically.

6. Respond fast and professionally

Most buyers contact three or four sellers at once; the one who replies first usually gets the viewing. Keep your phone on, answer WhatsApp within minutes, and reply politely even to low offers — today's low offer often comes back tomorrow. Suggest a viewing time and place (see our safety tips), and confirm the appointment an hour before.

7. Boost when it matters

If your car is priced right and still slow after a week, a Featured or Top boost puts it back in front of buyers who searched last week. Boosts cost a few hundred rupees and pay for themselves with one extra serious buyer. Dealers and frequent sellers can use packages with included boosts — see Pricing.

8. Mark it sold

When the deal closes, mark your ad as Sold from My Ads so buyers stop calling. Sold ads remain visible with a ribbon, which also helps future buyers see real market prices.

Or let us do it

No time for photos, calls and viewings? With Sell to Car.net.pk our team inspects and photographs your car, lists it as "Managed by Car.net.pk", handles every buyer inquiry and viewing, and negotiates on your behalf. You approve the final price; we handle the rest. Either way, post your ad today — the sooner it is live, the sooner it sells.
